Kira hurries in and slams the door.
“Something’s gone wrong, I need to leave town.” She starts.
“What? Tell me what happened.” Says Freya.
“No time. You can either come with me, or pretend you never met me and figure out this whole vampire thing on your own. I’ve got a few books you can have, but most of them are in Latin.”
“Do you really need to leave? You could stay here or at my house.”
“No, it’s too risky. I need you to make up your mind, Freya.”
“I’m coming with you then. If that’s the only way. I can’t learn everything on my own, I need you.”
“Wake Yasmin then, you can’t leave her behind now.” Says Kira.
“We’re going right away?” Freya asks.
“Yes, come on, we can’t hang around.”
“But what about our parents? I can’t just leave without saying anything.”
“You can contact them later, if you’re coming, let’s go.” Kira takes the potions she left and puts them in a bag.
Freya wakes Yasmin. “Something’s happened and me and Kira need to leave town for a bit. Do you want to come with us?” She asks.
“Wherever you go, I go.” Says Yasmin, yawning. “It’ll be an adventure.” She doesn’t look too concerned about leaving town.
“Kira says we can tell our parents later. We’ll have to come up with something.”
Kira paces by the door. “Let’s go already.”
Freya follows her outside. She can’t believe she’s really doing this, but what choice did she have? She couldn’t learn everything she needs to know by herself.
Kira leads them to her house. She begins packing stuff into bags. She takes mostly alchemy equipment and books, not needing food.
When she’s done, Kira gives Freya and Yasmin a backpack to carry.
Kira begins heading into the woods, sticking to the shadows. Freya and Yasmin follow behind.
“Where are we headed?” Freya asks.
“To the sea.”
“That’ll take ages on foot.”
“Quit complaining, you wanted to come.”
They’ve just got to the edge of the wood, when Kira suddenly stops.
“You smell that?” She asks.
“Smell what?” Freya can smell lots of scents, but can’t distinguish between them.
“Dog. It’s coming this way. Can’t you hear it?”
Suddenly there’s barking. A dog bursts out of the undergrowth. It’s a German Shepard. A police dog.
“Police! Show yourselves!” Comes a shout.
The dog barks aggressively at them. Suddenly Kira jumps on it, biting its neck. It falls unconscious.
“This way, quietly.” Kira pulls Freya into some bracken. Yasmin follows behind, considerably louder than the other two. They go deeper into the wood.
Kira hears the helicopter first. “Quick, get Yasmin into that hollow log.” She says.
“What about us?” Freya asks.
“We’ll lie in the undergrowth. Yasmin will give off more heat. They’ll be using thermal cameras. We lie low until the chopper runs out of fuel, then we make a break for the sea.”
“What about dogs?”
“I’ll hear them coming. Especially the police, they’ll make a racket, coming through here. Now get her hidden.”
Yasmin hides in the log without complaint. Freya knows she would never have done that before. She hates creepy crawlies.
After what seems like an eternity, the sound of the helicopter fades. Kira gets up. “Let’s go, quickly. We need to make it to the boat before day break.”
It takes two hours to reach the sea. Kira leads them to a small wooden boat, tied to a wooden post.
“We’re going in that?” Freya asks.
“We’re not going far. There’s a small cave with some supplies. You can only get to it by boat. Then I’ll radio for some assistance.”
Freya helps Yasmin into the boat. She looks tired. Kira rows them to a nearby cliff. There’s a dark hole, the moon just giving enough light to see it. They have to duck down to fit inside.
There’s a slope leading to a small cavern. They get out and Kira pulls the boat onto the rocks.
“We’ll wait here until day. Oh, we didn’t get around to biting your friend again, did we. You need to give her a final dose.” Says Kira.
Freya glances at Yasmin. She looks small and frail, curled up on the stony floor.
“Do I have to? Hasn’t she been through enough tonight?” Freya asks.
“You were eager enough earlier. Just one more, you need to make sure it’s done properly. You don’t need to feed. Just bite.”
“Okay then. I’m sorry, Yasmin, last one.” Freya puts Yasmin on her lap and strokes her hair. “You feeling okay?” She asks.
“Just tired. I’m glad I’m with you.” She replies.
“I’m going to have to bite you once more. Are you okay with that?”
“Yes, it doesn’t hurt. It feels good.”
Freya bites her as gently as she can. Yasmin gasps softly, then falls asleep.
Kira watches them with an amused look on her face. “That’s the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while. She’s supposed to be your thrall, not your pampered pet.”
“She’s my friend!” Says Freya defensively. “I don’t want to hurt her.”
“That’s sweet. We should get some rest as well. It’s going to be a long day tomorrow.”
“So, are you going to tell me what happened?” Freya asks.
“I don’t really know... I went to feed. Chose a young woman who sleeps in a shed at the end of the garden. She’s... a little different. Anyway, I found her sleeping and went to bite her. Something went wrong, she woke screaming.” Kira explains.
“The sedative didn’t work?”
“Obviously not. I’ve never had that before. Never heard of it happening either. The only people resistant are vampires and their thralls. She’s definitely not a vampire. I checked.”
“What happened then?” Freya asks.
“It was a mess. I tried to calm the girl down, but nothing was working. I panicked and bit her again, hoping the sedative would work this time. It didn’t. I saw the lights turn on in the house. I made a break for it. Only just got away. A man, I’m assuming her dad, came running out with a wooden bat.”
“Then you came straight to us?”
“Yeah. I knew the police would be swarming the place soon. It looked like an attempted murder. Got blood everywhere.”
“Is the girl okay?” Freya asks, concerned.
“Of course, that’s the least of our worries right now. We need to get out of here until things have died down. I’m worried about that sedative not working. Was it me or the girl? I don’t know what would be worse.”
“It worked on that dog.” Freya points out.
“Very true. It must’ve been the girl. Something stopped the sedative from having any effect. We’ll go the the citadel. They’ll know what to do.”
”You’re taking me there? I thought you didn’t trust me enough.”
“Well, the circumstances have changed. It’s either I take you with me, or leave you to fend for yourself. It’s my fault you’re a vampire, you never asked for this. You seem like a good friend, and that’s just what I need right now. Get some rest now, Freya.”
Freya opens her eyes to see Yasmin staring at her. They fell asleep next to each other, with Freya’s arm around Yasmin.
“How long have you been awake?” Freya asks.
“A little while. I didn’t want to wake you.” Yasmin replies.
“Are you feeling okay?”
“Yes.”
Freya gets up and stretches. Kira is still asleep. It’s almost midday. Freya sits by the cave wall, letting Kira sleep a little longer. Yasmin moves to sit next to her.
Eventually Kira stirs. She checks her watch and gets up with a start.
“Freya, you should’ve woken me! We should’ve left by now.”
“Sorry, I thought you needed sleep.”
“Oh well, I suppose we’re safe here for now.” Kira goes over to a nearby rock and lifts it. The inside is hollow. Underneath it is a radio and some packages.
Yasmin hesitantly puts a hand on Freya’s shoulder. “Freya...” She starts.
“What is it, darling?”
“I’m hungry.”
Kira turns around suddenly. “Oh shit, I forgot she needs to eat. I’ll see if I can radio for some food as well as a lift.”
Kira gets in contact with some of her “friends”. They must be other vampires. Freya thinks. Their boat was going to arrive early evening.
Kira paces up and down the cave. “I can’t stand just waiting around.” She says.
“We could play a game or something.” Freya suggests.
“Okay. We better not do any biting though. We don’t want a repeat of yesterday.” Says Kira.
“When I said game, I meant like 20 questions or truth or dare. What was you thinking?”
“Let’s play truth or dare then. I’ll go first.” Says Kira, sitting down.
“Go on then, what are you picking?” Freya asks.
“Truth.” Says Kira.
“Who was the first person you kissed?”
“A girl in high school. We were playing truth or dare funnily enough. You go next.”
“Truth.”
“No, that’s boring, pick dare.” Says Kira.
“Okay fine. Dare.”
“Kiss Yasmin.”
“Easy.” Freya leans over and kisses Yasmin softly on the lips.
“No, a proper kiss.” Kira insists.
“Be more specific next time then.” Says Freya.
“Yasmin’s turn.”
Yasmin looks a little surprised. “Umm, dare?”
“Kiss me.” Says Kira. “Hard.” She adds quickly.
Yasmin glances at Freya. “Should I?” She asks.
“Only if you want to.” Says Freya.
“I don’t mind.”
“Kiss her then.”
Yasmin runs over to Kira and gives her a quick, firm kiss on the lips.
“My turn again.” Says Kira.
“When did you become a vampire?” Freya asks.
“I haven’t picked yet. I wanted dare.”
“Take your shirt off.”
“Just my shirt?”
“For now.” Freya eyes Kira up as she undresses. “I’ve got a feeling you want me to choose dare again.”
“Yes, kiss Yasmin properly. Until I say stop.” Kira says.
“Are you okay with this, Yasmin?” Freya asks.
“Of course. You can do whatever you want to me.” Says Yasmin.
“Just say if you want me to stop.” Freya puts her arms around Yasmin’s neck and kisses her. Freya notices Yasmin isn’t really kissing back. Kira notices too.
“Make her kiss you back.”
“I’m not going to make her.” Says Freya, breaking off.
“She’ll enjoy it more that way. She’s your thrall, yours to command.”
Freya doesn’t feel comfortable ordering her friend to do stuff, but she wants to try it out.
“Kiss me back, Yasmin.” She says. Yasmin does as she’s told. Freya finds herself growing horny as Yasmin kisses her.
“Harder! Climb on me and snog me like you’re in love.” Freya commands. Yasmin immediately jumps on her, pressing her mouth firmly against Freya’s lips.
Freya grows more passionate. She never thought she’d be doing this with her best friend. She rolls over, holding Yasmin to the ground, and forcing her tongue into her mouth. She suddenly realises what she’s doing and feels bad. Freya pulls away.
Yasmin comes closer and kisses her again.
Is she enjoying this, or is it forced? Freya wonders.
“Stop.” She says. “Yasmin, are you really okay with this?” Freya asks.
“Of course!” Yasmin replies.
“Are you doing it because you want to, or because you have no choice?”
“I want to. If it pleases you.” Says Yasmin.
“Does it please you, though?”
“Anything that makes you happy, makes me happy. I really don’t mind, it’s fun!”
“Well in that case...” Freya is about to kiss her again, when Kira stops her.
“It’s Yasmin’s turn.” She says.
“Dare!” Yasmin cries, looking excited.
“Do to me what you did to Freya.” Says Kira.
Yasmin walks over to her, glancing at Freya for permission.
Freya feels a little jealous. She could say no, and kiss Yasmin herself again... She says nothing and lets Yasmin make up her mind.
“Come on, Yasmin. You know you want to.” Kira encourages.
Yasmin looks uncertain for a moment, before jumping onto Kira and kissing hard.
I didn’t order her to. Freya thinks. She must be doing this because she wants to. Then Freya remembers Kira’s powers of seduction.
She watches as Yasmin grows more and more passionate. She looks like she’s beginning to hurt Kira. She claws at her skin. Kira gasps, but doesn’t stop her.
When Yasmin starts drawing blood, Freya decides it’s enough.
“Okay, Yasmin, enough now.” She says.
Yasmin ignores her.
“Get off her Yasmin!” Freya cries. Yasmin flinches and gets off. She looks a little scared.
“I’m sorry, Freya. I couldn’t help it.” Yasmin says.
Kira gets up. “I often have that effect on people.” She says. “If you let her carry on, it would’ve gotten way out of hand.”
“Did I hurt you?” Yasmin asks, looking concerned.
“Not nearly as much as I would’ve liked. Don’t worry about it. I made you do it.”
Freya hugs Yasmin tightly. “We won’t make you do anything else, I promise.”
“One more thing.” Kira pulls Yasmin off Freya and whispers something to her.
Yasmin suddenly throws herself onto Freya, and begins undressing her.
“What are you making her do?” Freya asks.
“You’ll see. Enjoy.” Kira sits back and watches.
Yasmin kisses Freya and begins to finger her roughly.
“What’re you doing, Yasmin?” Freya gasps.
“Getting you off like Kira said. Do you want me to stop?”
“Not really.” Freya sighs as Yasmin touches her in all the right places. She could get used to this.
Kira watches them, eyes full of lust.
Freya lies back and lets Yasmin do whatever she wants. She likes this new Yasmin.
“Finish her with your tongue, Yasmin.” Says Kira.
“Okay!” Yasmin enthusiastically rushes to do what Kira says. Freya can’t help but let out a moan as she feels Yasmin’s tongue enter her.
Yasmin would never have done this before. Would she? Freya wonders. Maybe if I had asked...
Yasmin’s wet tongue makes Freya climax in no time.
“Good girl.” Says Kira. “You can do me now.”
Freya grabs Yasmin’s arm as she goes over to Kira.
“You don’t have to.” Says Freya.
“I don’t mind. It’s up to you.” Yasmin replies.
“Let her do it.” Kira insists.
“Fine. Go on then, Yasmin.” Freya lets go of her arm and begins getting dressed.
She tries not to watch. Seeing them together made her jealous.
When they’re finished, Yasmin comes back over to Freya and sits next to her.
“Want me to tend to you now, Yasmin?” Freya asks.
“No, I’m okay, thanks.” She replies.
Kira glances at Freya with a mischievous look in her eye. “Tell her to touch herself while we watch.”
“I’m not making her.” Says Freya.
“Do it!”
“It’s not right.”
Yasmin looks at Freya. “I can if you want me to.”
“No, don’t worry about it.”
Kira gets up and walks over to Freya. “Come on, let’s have some fun. We need to test your powers.”
“She’s not a slave, Kira.”
“She’s your thrall. She desperately wants to please you. Let her.”
“Kira...” Freya starts. Kira suddenly grabs her arm. She presses her teeth against her skin.
“Do it now!”
“You know biting me doesn’t hurt.” Says Freya.
“So I can do it then?” Kira asks.
“Sure. As long as Yasmin isn’t involved.”
Kira bites down. Freya cries out as pain shoots up her arm. “Stop, that hurts!”
“I can stop the sedative if I want. It hurts without that, doesn’t it? Now do as I say, or I’ll bite again.” Kira threatens.
“Okay, what do you want?” Freya asks.
“Make Yasmin strip off.”
“Really? Come on, Kira.”
“It’ll be fun. Just do it. Otherwise I’ll use you as entertainment.”
Freya reluctantly looks at Yasmin. “Take your clothes off, Yasmin.” She commands.
“Okay!” Yasmin immediately starts ripping her clothes off.
“I’m sorry about this.” Says Freya.
“I don’t mind. It’s okay with me.”
Kira gazes at Yasmin. “Now make her touch herself until she cums.”
Freya sighs. “You heard her. Go ahead.”
Yasmin begins to finger herself, staring right into Freya’s eyes.
Freya can’t keep looking. “This is too weird, Kira.”
“Go kiss her then. I want to watch you both.” Says Kira.
“Will you bite me if I refuse?” Freya asks.
“Yes. Hard.”
Freya sits in front of Yasmin and starts kissing her.
This is turning out to be such a weird day. Freya thinks.
Freya is beginning to get into it when Yasmin starts shaking. She orgasms with barely a sound.
“Shall I keep going?” Yasmin asks.
“Yes!” Cries Kira.
“No.” Says Freya. “I think that’s enough now.”
“Make her do it again. Make her do it until it hurts. Over and over.” Says Kira excitedly.
“Kira! Stop it, how can you be so mean?” Freya glares at her.
“Sorry. I always go too far, don’t I?”
“Yes. Let’s all calm down now. Yasmin, put some clothes on.”
“I always lose control. It’s something I need to work on.” Says Kira. “I’m probably not the best mentor, am I?”
“No, you’re fine, you just get a bit excited. It’s like when I get the taste of blood... Drives you wild, doesn’t it?” Freya licks her lips.
“Let’s not think about that right now. I’m still hungry. I didn’t feed properly, remember?”
“That explains why you’re like this. Are you going to be okay?”
“I’ll make it to the citadel. Try to keep me in check.”
The rest of the afternoon is spent talking and napping. Yasmin is content with whatever they do. Freya explains her new powers in more detail. Yasmin seems in awe of her.
As it starts to get dark, Freya hears a boat approaching. Kira quickly gathers her things, and they walk to the cave entrance.
The boat is too big to enter the cavern, so they get into the small rowboat and row closer. A middle aged man and woman help them in.
The man looks weathered with a scar across one eye and a unkempt grey beard.
“You caused quite the commotion in town, Kira.” Says the man in a gruff voice.
“Didn’t intend to. Something went wrong. Sedative didn’t work.” Kira explains.
“You sure? In eighty years I’ve never heard of that.” The man frowns.
“Positive. I tried twice. It’s not me either, it worked on a dog.”
The woman steps forward. “This is strange indeed. If what you say is true... You need to report this. Go to the citadel, talk to the old master. He’ll know what to do.” She takes another step forward. “Bite me, let me feel your venom. Then we’ll know if it’s a problem with you.”
“I don’t think it is, but okay.” Kira sinks her teeth into the woman’s arm.
The woman doesn’t flinch. When Kira is done, she brings her wound up to her mouth and sucks it. “No, it’s working fine. It’s not you. This needs to reported immediately. If it can happen once, it can happen again.”
“We’ll go right away.” Says Kira.
“Good, we’ll help sort out the mess in the village. I’m sure we can come up with something, get the cops off your trail.”
The man hands Kira a bag. “Got some food for the thrall. Don’t know if it’s any good, but from what I’ve heard it don’t get any better. You take care, Kira. We’ll see each other again soon, no doubt.”
They get into the rowboat, leaving the girls alone.
“To the Citadel we go.” Says Kira. She opens the bag. Inside is a McDonald’s happy meal. “Hope this’ll do, Yasmin. They’ve been vampires for a long time. They’ve obviously forgotten how much normal people eat.”
“Thank you!” Yasmin gratefully takes the food. “Want to share, Freya? You can have as much as you want.”
“No, it’s all yours. I don’t eat, remember?” Says Freya.
“So you’ll never taste good food again? That’s so sad.”
“I prefer the sweet taste of blood now.”
While Yasmin eats, Freya joins Kira at the boat’s helm.
“The pressure’s dropped. There’s a storm coming, Freya.” Says Kira. “Just what we need.”
“Are you sure?”
“Look over there.” Kira points to some dark clouds on the horizon. “It’s going to be a rough night.”
“Should we wait until it’s past?” Asks Freya.
“No, we should get going. Can’t risk getting caught. At least no one will find us in the storm. We’re going to be gone for some time. If you want to call anyone, now’s the time.”
”Umm, Kira? How old was that man we just met? Did I hear him say he was eighty?”
“Yes, that’s right. Why?”
“He looked a lot younger.”
“I told you vampires age slower.” Says Kira.
”How old are you?”
“It doesn’t matter. I’m not eighty, if that’s what you’re worrying about.”
“Come on, just tell me.”
“Fine, I’m thirty.”
“Oh, really?” Freya hadn’t even thought of the possibility that Kira was older than her.
“How old did you think I was?” Kira asks.
“Early twenties.” Says Freya.
“Still act like it, don’t I?” Kira smiles. Go see if Yasmin’s okay. I need some time alone to think.”
Freya finds Yasmin below deck.
“Hey, you still okay going away with us?”
“Of course! I don’t want you to go without me.”
“We’ll need to come up with an excuse as to why we’re away. We could tell our families we went on a road trip together or something.”
“Good idea. My family is out of town for a few days anyway. I’ll tell them I’m with you.” Says Yasmin.
“It’s going to be harder to convince my family. I’ll have to say it was a spur of the moment thing. I better call them now while we still have signal.” Freya gets out her phone and calls home.
Her mum answers. “Freya, what have you been up to? Did you stay round a friend’s last night?”
“Yeah, I was at Yasmin’s. Sorry, I forgot to tell you.”
“Are you coming home for dinner?”
“No. We’re going away for a bit. I’m not sure sure how long we’ll be yet.” Says Freya.
“Where are you going?”
“On a road trip. We’re going shopping then we’re thinking about camping somewhere.”
“It’s a bit last minute, isn’t it? You haven’t got anything packed.”
“Yasmin has enough stuff, and we’re shopping tomorrow anyway.”
“Well okay then, you’re old enough to go off on your own, I just think it’s a bit rushed. Is Yasmin with you now?”
“Yeah.”
“Can I speak with her?”
“If you want. Hold on.” Freya mutes her phone. “She wants to speak with you. You heard what I said, just go along with it.”
Yasmin takes the phone. “Hello? Yeah, me and Freya just wanted to get away for a bit. Have some time together.” Says Yasmin. “I know, I love her so much.”
Freya starts shaking her head vigorously. She doesn’t want her mum to think they’re in a relationship or anything. She takes the phone back.
“We’ve got to go now.” She says.
“It makes sense now, you don’t need to run away. I had a feeling you preferred girls. Yasmin is nice, you’ll get on well together.”
“It’s not like that, it’s... Complicated. I’ll try to get in touch soon. Don’t worry about us, I’ll be home before long.”
“Okay darling, I’ll be waiting for you. See you soon. Love you.”
Freya hangs up. “Great, now she thinks we’re going out.”
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to say that, it just came out.” Says Yasmin, looking apologetic.
“It’s not your fault. At least she won’t worry so much now. She probably thinks we’re running off to have a romantic holiday together or something. You can tell your parents that too if you like. I’ll leave it up to you.”
Freya is suddenly woken by the swaying of the boat. She must’ve fallen asleep. She gets up and makes her way to the deck to see what’s going on. It’s dark, but Freya can see the giant waves hitting the side of the boat.
Kira is at the helm, fighting for control. Freya rushes over to her.
“Anything I can do to help?” She asks.
“Not really, just make sure everything’s tied down.”
There’s a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder. Freya goes back under the deck to look for Yasmin. She finds her on the bed, looking scared. Freya sits next to her and puts her arm around her shoulders.
“You okay? It’ll be over soon.”
“I don’t like boats.” Yasmin is shaking.
“You didn’t say anything earlier. I never knew.”
“I didn’t want you to leave me behind.”
“I would never do that. I’m here now, this storm won’t last long. It’ll be better after that.” Freya squeezes Yasmin tightly. “Try and get some rest if you can. I’ll stay here with you.”
Freya lies next to Yasmin until she falls asleep.
Freya is woken by Kira. It’s morning already.
“I’m going to sleep for a bit. Take helm, keep us on our current course, north-west, 50 degrees.” Says Kira, getting into the bed. Yasmin’s stirs, but remains under the covers.
“I don’t know how to drive a boat.” Says Freya.
“It’s easy. Just keep it straight. There’s a gps with our current route, just follow that. When we’re fifty nautical miles out, wake me up.” Says Kira.
Freya goes to the helm and has a look around, not really knowing what she’s doing. There’s a gps with a pre planned route. They were slightly to the left by the look of it. Freya hesitantly turns the wheel to the right. She never imagined she would we doing this.
My life is certainly more interesting now. She thinks. She wonders where this boat came from. It can’t be cheap.
After an hour or so, Yasmin comes to see her.
“Morning.” Says Freya. “Sleep well?”
“Not too badly. I wish we had more food though. I’m starving.”
“Maybe you could have a look around. There might be something to eat somewhere. Don’t get your hopes up though, if this boat was owned my vampires, there’d be little point in food.”
“Okay, it’s worth a look I suppose.” Yasmin starts searching in all the compartments. “Found something!” She exclaims.
“What have you got?” Freya asks.
Yasmin hands her a packet. It reads: MRE 1 ration pork and beans.
“Wonder how long that’s been there. It’s a little out of date, but it’s still sealed. Give it a try.” Says Freya.
“Aren’t you hungry at all? I know you don’t eat food, but you could feed on me if you want.”
“I’m okay for now, but thanks for the offer.”
A few hours later, Kira joins them.
“I smell food.” She says.
“Yasmin was hungry. Ate a ration pack.”
“Where’d she find that?”
“On the boat. It was supposed to be pork and beans.” Says Freya.
“Didn’t taste like pork and beans.” Yasmin replies. “I want some proper food.”
“We’ll have to make a stop then.” Says Kira. “The citadel won’t have food. Well actually they will, but it won’t be anything good. I don’t imagine they feed the cattle gourmet meals.”
“Cattle?” Freya questions.
“People for us to feed on. Probably best you don’t know the details.” Kira changes the subject. “Wait till you meet the master. Bet you never thought you’d see someone who’s been alive for two centuries.”
“What’s he like?” Freya asks.
“Old. Think that sums him up well enough. He’s pretty set in his ways and likes tradition.”
“What do you think he’ll say about the incident you had the other day?”
“I don’t know. I’m hoping he’s heard of something like this happening before.”
”How far do we have to go?”
“We should be there by evening. Go rest if you want.”
Freya goes back below deck. The sun was starting to come out, and Freya was no fan of the sun anymore.
She sits on the bed, about to get undressed, when Yasmin comes in.
“You still tired?” Freya asks.
“Not really.” Yasmin sits on Freya’s lap and suddenly kisses her on the lips. Freya returns the kiss, then gently pulls away.
“What was that for?” She asks.
”I thought you’d like it, I’m sorry.” Yasmin replies.
“Don’t be sorry, I did like it, it was just unexpected.”
“Should I do it again?”
“Do you want to?”
“Only if you want it.”
“No, Yasmin, I’m asking if you enjoy this. Answer me honestly.” Says Freya.
“Well... Your taste excites me. It’s like I’m drawn to you. I want to be close to you, touch you, kiss you...”
“Go on then. I won’t stop you. Do whatever you feel like doing.”
Yasmin hesitantly leans closer, inhaling Freya’s scent. Freya holds herself back, waiting to see what Yasmin will do.
Yasmin gently brushes her lips against Freya’s. After a brief moment of hesitation, she starts to kiss.
Suddenly Freya’s hit with a wave of lust. Before she can stop herself, she has Yasmin pinned to the wall. She pulls back and stares into Yasmin’s fearful eyes, trying to control herself. It’s no use.
Freya lunges towards Yasmin’s neck and bites hard. She laps up the hot blood and is about to bite again. She suddenly takes control of herself and manages to back away. Freya turns and runs before she can bite again.
She finds Kira, knowing she will know what to do. Freya looks at her, panting. Kira eyes her up suspiciously.
“What have you done, Freya?” Kira comes closer, smelling her. “There’s blood on your lips.” Kira starts to lick it off.
Freya leaps back. “Stop it, you’re not helping. I can’t control myself!”
“What happened? Is Yasmin okay?” Kira asks.
“I think so. I managed to stop before I hurt her too much.”
“Were you hungry?”
“No. Yasmin just kissed me, and I suddenly lost control and bit her.” Says Freya.
“Why’d you come to me?”
“I’m scared. I don’t want to hurt her. If you hadn’t been there to stop me the other day... This whole thrall thing was a terrible idea.” Freya begins to sob.
“It’ll be fine. You just need to learn some control, it takes practice. At least you managed to stop in time. I won’t let you hurt her, I promise.”
“What if you’re not there? Yasmin won’t defend herself.”
“Be strong, Freya. You’ll get through this. Come on, let’s go see Yasmin.”
Yasmin is still sitting on the bed. She’s got blood on her hands.
“I’m so sorry.” Says Freya. “I didn’t mean to.”
“You can do that anytime you want.” Yasmin replies. “It feels good.”
Kira wipes the tears from Freya’s face. “Go lick the blood from her fingers.” She says.
“No, I’ll lose control again.” Freya replies.
“Do it. I won’t let you hurt her.”
Freya reluctantly grabs Yasmin’s hand and sucks the blood off. As soon as she tastes it, she feels her lust grow again. She tries to hold it back. She realises she’s gripping Yasmin’s hand tightly. It grows too much to bare.
Freya bites down on Yasmin’s hand. There’s more resistance than with her neck. Yasmin gasps. Freya tastes blood and bites harder. She feels a crunch and more blood spurts out. Yasmin cries out in pain.
“That’s enough, Freya.” Says Kira.
Freya refuses to let go. Kira tries to pull her away. Freya moans as the blood fills her mouth. She almost chokes on it. She bites as hard as she possibly can, making Yasmin shriek. Freya holds her arm tightly, not letting her pull it away.
Suddenly pain shoots up Freya’s arm, making her let go. Kira has bitten her, obviously without the sedative. Freya steps back.
“You shouldn’t have let me near her.” She runs out the room, fighting back tears. How was she going to live like this?
Freya hides in a corner and sobs to herself. Eventually Kira appears with a glass vial.
“Drink this.” She says, handing Freya the bottle.”
“What is it?”
“It’ll calm you down, stop you from losing control again. We need to work on that. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have made you do that just now. I should’ve known it would excite you.”
Freya drinks. It tastes of herbs. “Is Yasmin okay?”
“She will be. Come see her.” Kira leads her back to the blood stained bed. Yasmin’s hand is bandaged up.
“It’ll take a while to heal properly.” Says Kira. “You did some damage, Freya. That’s why you only bite the neck. It heals faster with the chemicals your fangs secrete. It doesn’t work so well if you bite through muscle, bone and whatever else you bit through.”
“I’m so sorry, Yasmin. I really didn’t mean to. It was like someone else was controlling me. How’s it feel?” Asks Freya.
“It hurts a bit, but I’ll be okay.” Says Yasmin.
“I didn’t think my bites hurt you.” Says Freya.
“You bit right through her hand, Freya.” Says Kira. “Of course it hurt. Couldn’t you tell? You must’ve heard her screaming.”
“Stop, I feel bad enough already. I’m too scared to go near her now.” Says Freya.
“I need to go back to the controls, I’m leaving you two together. Think you’ll be okay now.
“No, I don’t trust myself.”
“That potion I gave you calms your blood lust. You’ll be fine now. I’ve had to use it many times before. Don’t worry, I’ll hear Yasmin’s screams if you bite again.” Kira leaves them to it.
